In case you hadn't already heard...

Daylight savings time has been changed by a 2005 law and this year it will change the 2nd Sunday of March instead of the 1st Sunday in April and extend into November rather than ending into October.

So I guess, we won't get to hear President Hinckley remind us at the end of Priesthood Session to change our clocks this April. I'm always terrible at remembering. Now that they've switched it I think its going to be even harder to remember.

Well, the main objective of daylight savings is to move the hours of daylight to the hours that we are most active and thus save energy because we don't have turn on all the lights in the house during the daytime. I'd assume the reason for this change would be in line with that main objective.

why not just be done with daylight savings? i tell you who this is really gonna hurt - trick or treaters. as a kid i always got worried that it wouldnt get dark early enough on halloween, but the weekend before the 31st, daylight savings would kick in (or kick out to be more accurate). but now, its gonna be light until 7 on old hallows eve. bummer!

Yeah, I'm sure that parents will be really bummed that their kids won't be out dressed in all black with a bit of daylight left.
